Hitachi Appliances actively develops appealing home appliances with value. A prime example is our drum-type washer-dryer. This washer-dryer can recover heat energy from the motor and use this recycled heat to dry clothing, a feature that enables a significant reduction in power consumption compared with previous models. Another notable feature is the built-in “blow-ironing” function that smoothes out wrinkles with a high-speed air current of 360 km/h while clothes are dried. This enables an unprecedented, high-quality finish and eliminates the time-consuming task of ironing.

Our large-capacity refrigerator improves freezing and refrigeration cooling efficiency by placing the freezer compartment in the middle while also realizing outstanding energy savings with the adoption of a high-efficiency compressor. Responding to the recent rise in health consciousness, the refrigerator is equipped with a lowoxygen chilled room having an air pressure of approximately 0.8 atm that prevents food from oxidizing and preserves nutrients. As an additional advantage, this refrigerator has 602 L of storage space, yet can be installed in virtually the same amount of space as models with just 495 L of storage capacity that were sold about 10 years ago.

Our superheated steam microwave oven incorporates functions for healthy superheated and steam cooking along with boosting umami (savoriness) and reducing excess fat and salt content. A Hitachi-developed weight sensor for accurately ascertaining the net weight and positioning of food being cooked enables the optimal setting of heating times and temperatures in accordance with quantity to ensure that food is prepared just the way you like it. Also, these ovens have the industry’s total interior capacity* and are designed without spaces for heat release on the left, right and backside, which allows for placement snugly against walls.
Hitachi Appliances is pursuing fresh and original perspectives in terms of design and actively carrying out activities to create distinctive designs that match respective living environments.
