Hitachi Appliances, Inc.
Kanagawa Science Park District
Heat supply of Kanagawa Science Park was planned so as to flexibly cope with the frequently changing demand of various reseatch and development facilities, such as test facilities, research laboratories, training facilities and hotels. The heat source uses electricity as well as city gas to operate absorption chillers, centrifugal chillers, etc. Of the absorption refrigerating machines, two are gas direct fired absorption chiller-heater units and operated in cooling mode in summer while in heating mode in winter.
